Lapsang Souchong - Smoked Black Tea

The pinewood smoke actually comes through on the first steep, not just the smell of the dry leaves. I've been drinking it plain in the morning and it's got this earthy depth that holds up without milk. Full-bodied enough that one cup feels like a proper start to the day.

I was worried this would taste like an ashtray, but the pinewood smoke is actually smooth and layered over the earthy black tea. The full-bodied depth is unreal, and a single teaspoon goes a long way in my morning pot.
